simple is to put your price (cash) you need and then put firm, no trades. No need to reply to any offers made then.

Oh but the experts say it's not a Serdi so it's a POS. <insert eyeroll here>
Souix valve facer/grinder. I've been just buying new valves for years and only doing seat jobs.. and then I have to go out to escondido to use Bills valve facer to trim stems i measure and mark on the satellite for each.. time time time.. not worth it. So this will greatly help.

I have a good example with a wrecked 66 Coronet 383-4 barrel car. The internet folks say I need to restore it. None of them think it's worth 5k. From experience it has at least 11k of parts on it. It will likely go that direction over the winter. In the meantime all of the internet blow-hards like to give my wife a hard time because we won't sell it for $2,500. Apparently they want to buy the drivetrain and keep the body for free. I say my wife because she deals with the general public and post my ads for me. You wouldn't believe some of the chickenshit stuff some of you guys message to my wife on Facebook Marketplace. I even caught one local guy lying about being a body guy when he hasn't pushed much sandpaper but he surely has pushed a lot of donuts down his gullet. I let him know that I was going to settle up with him next time we run into each other at the track for dressing down my wife LOL

Yeah, they are nice. I used one for years. Keep the stones dressed and they produce great results.

Usually, that's a red flag. We had a member here who was always several times higher than what the value was and people actually bought from him. Thing is, there was almost always something wrong or broken with everything he sold. He would also ask for ridiculous amounts of time to pay tying up parts that could have been sold and when he was called out, it was always the seller's fault.
Last I was told he passed away?

Valves and seats have been ground with a stone for ever. We had a Sioux set up at the dealer I worked at. I wish I could have got ahold of that when the merged.

But everybody already knows you're the bad guy. Tell us something we don't know.

I dont know if it's a generation thing or what, but when using fakebook I bet half the questions I get are "50% of asking price"

And that's how they start the conversation

Where I'm from, you don't start to haggle untill after you have seen the parts in person
I bought a low-end(125 bucks) video card for my computer once, found out that it wasnt what I was after after only about an hours use, put it up for sale for $100. Bottom feeder messages me and offers me 25 bucks for it, I answer in a laugh and say youve got to be kidding me?? He says, "well have you had any other offers"? I say, "Ive only had it advertised for one day and I would rather come to your house and smash it in front of you then sell it to you for 25 bucks". Never heard back from him, and I sold it the next day for full price.

LOL

One of my faves was a guy that was excelling at running the gas monkey, I had something priced cheap, still offered 20% of asking... like $5. Someone else I knew walks up, looks at the same part and asked about it. The guy gets all mad, that it was his part, he was going negotiating to buy it. I handed to the person that didn't haggle and said, yours free. One of the best gifts I've ever given away.
