@Killer6 suggested I post this here...
I'm getting way ahead of myself planning, but planning anyway. Right now on my '63 Dart GT, I have the stock 13" steel wheels and tires. I'm thinking I would like to eventually get some slotted mags or something similar to classic Cragars. But finding anything that is 13" with a 5x4 bolt pattern is next to impossible (not to mention I am not sure how wide I can go either).
So, what is the largest wheels (and/or tires) that I can get without having to modify the wheel wells or swapping out the hubs (height, width, etc)?

Largest wheel? There are some 17" or 18" wheels in bbp. Coy wheels off the top of my head. You'll fit like a 205 or 225 size tire up front and a 235 or 245 tire out back.

"without swapping out the hubs", I think the OP really needs an overall tire dimension limit, and the '63 units had a lot of differences from the '64 & up bodies. There are some
decent SBP rims floating around & pop up in the tires/wheels for sale forum here. I can't comment as to the wheel well size not having a '63 to measure.

Sorry, I miswrote. I meant they're in sbp. A lot of the problem are that the 17" sbp wheels usually have a 4 to 4.5" backspacing which is not ideal for an A-body at all.

All sizes of the rainbow from 15" to 20".

Yes. I need help with overall wheel and tire dimensions.
If I decide to get some 14" or 15" wheels, what width would work best (6", 7", etc), what offset or back spacing do I need to look for? And what size tires would I need to look for to maintain an almost stock height (so I don't have any clearance issues).

"the '63 units had a lot of differences from the '64 & up bodies." Correct me if I'm wrong, I don't think there is any difference between the years.

I have 18" wheels with 225/40R18 tires on my 2013 Dart GT. Just looking at them, I think there is no way they'll fit. Waaaayyy to big. I think I would like to go with 14" or at the biggest 15" wheels on the '63 Dart GT.

My 63 Valiant with 15x7 with a 4 1/4'' backspace.205x60 front 225x60 rear. The rear tire could have been larger 235 or 245's. Wheels were made by Stockton Wheels and were SBP. They were old school chrome reverse and the rears rubbed on the outer upper wheel house with 4 people in the car.
Just food for thought.

Those look great (The Valiant looks great too!). Did they rub because of the height or the width?

Width. If the wheel was standard and not reversed(it gives a deeper width to the outer flange of the rim. Also requires tires to be removed and installed from the backside of the rim instead of the rim face.I know ,,clear as mud) It can be seen in photos 1 & 2.There would be no rubbing. The car is at stock height. A reversed wheel gives you a wider track. That is the best way I can describe it.Oh and with 4 people it would only rub during turns such and entry or exit from driveways. Not bad. Most of the time I was the only one in the car.Another car that I was a fool for selling.......

There are a number of one year only pieces and structural parts on a '63 that make them unique, & since I only have '64's cpe & 'vert, I wouldn't use mine as a bona fide reference.
I was re-doing a '76 'maro for a friend, had the whole Dr. qtr. & wheelhouse cut off, We picked up a clean assy from a '78. What's different between a '76 & '78 right? The whole thing wheelhouse wise, almost 2" taller & the fit to the floorpan & trunk was off as well,...larger on the '78.

So, I think this should work:
Coy's 15x7 C5 Wheels (I like the Gun Metal finish and at $99 each, I think it's a good price)
205/50R15 tires
