Tomorrow I am headed back to work after a brief medical time off. My boss is a FemiNAZI and I already know she is not happy about me gettin sick and taking time off. She recently called me to let me know there has been a re-org at work BUT that I still REPORT TO HER....( payback time in her mind).........Prior to my illness she made a point of over burdening me with work causing me to work better than 15 hours per day just to keep up..... on a limited basis I can easily do that, over 18 months of it starts to become
a " severe overload" and has all sorts of negative effects on a persons health and stability. I pretty much know they are targeting people over 50 and more specifically and harshly those over 55.... they are trying to lighten their retirement responsibilities by either workin us to death OR over working us till we get sick of it and leave.....
.
WHAT all this is leading to?
Well I know there will be a huge pile of work waiting for me Monday morning.
I know the NAZI will have some insane unreasonable due date to have said pile of work completed.
WHICH means I will be back to working 15 + hours per day to satisfy her NAZI whim and I will not have time to check out FABO at all.( or anything else for that matter)

Our Management brags of the work life balance atmosphere and how wonderful it is..... and it is wonderful for them, we have no life they get a bigger balance sheet....work life balance definition according to them.

I would LOVE to tell them to shove it, but at 58, jobs are not knockin at mY DOOR......I can only hope that those who's idea it is to screw their employees face a similar fate as they approach retirement age!!

SO to sum it up...... T. T. F. N.
I'll see y'all when I can

i know how it takes it toll... my dad is a truck driver and he works crazy hours all the time to... and there non-union so he cant say boo or they'll kick him to the curb...

Good luck......one of my last supervisors at the PO used to get in my sh.t about going to use the rest room.......

The B@@@h needs to eat s##t and die.

You would be suprized how often that crap happens to the over 50 crowd. It's like you all the sudden have a target on your back I went through same deal with the boss piles on more and more work till your on 12 hr days year in and year out. Just hang on and ware your flack vest and hope to out last the boss who by the way is always alot younger.

I will be hangin as long as I can...and no I am not surprised how often this happens...it just makes me sick how we treat those that have been solid performing faithful loyal employees with negative reward simply because of age! I know the coming world belongs to the young...and I am not bothered by that...because I know the truth and I know who trained em! I just think our country and our employers need to show some respect to those that worked hard to put them on and keep them on the map.
BEDDY BYE TIME for this Bonzo...... we shall see what insidious events are to befall me on the morrow.....
Thank you all for the kind words....... see ya when I see ya

I hope it will be soon, seeing us
These people are trained and good at getting the 50 and older to quit there jobs so there insurance and cost go down, But it is what it is, I hope your days back at work are not to bad and you can carry a smile and remember we will be thinking of you 66cuda.

Hang in there. The street is a very cold place right now. Pace yourself, and try not to let your supervisor get under your skin.

Remember even for office workers, federal law allows for a 10 minute break every 2 hours, and a 30 minute break between the 4th and 6th hour (some companies allow an hour).
If you go beyond that you're allowed 10 minutes every 2 hours and a 20 minute break at the 10th hour.

Take advantage of those minutes, they could save your physical and mental health. Get away from your work station for those break periods, it makes a big difference. You can even use the break periods catch up on personal things (phone calls home, or personal business,) as long as you're not using a company phone, or computer, they can't, legally, give you any grief about it.

Using your break time to stay in touch with family and friends has a wonderful and positive psychological affect on you, and will also refresh you a bid. It allows you to keep in touch with family and friends while working long hours over an extended period. By doing so, you don't feel so isolated, and in fact you aren't.

I hope you find some of this advice helpful. Take care.
