Thanks man. I got up this morning, got my first cup of coffee, headed out to the porch to have my first smoke. The wife followed me out. Turn on my phone.. scrolling through.. light my smoke and take that sweet first gulp of coffee.. then scroll to this. Coffee all over the place, dropped my smoke. Wife says 'you ok?'.. quickly scroll.. 'yeah, just went down the wrong pipe'.. :)

Another smoker besides me. I slowed down a bunch smoking cigars and might stop the cigarettes some time but not yet.

If I played any part of your decision, I apologize.
I think this is the downside to internet based communication.. there's no visual or verbal clues to go by with reading a typed sentence. I can argue all day over a point with friends or family in person, and at the end of the day, we agree to disagree, shut the hell up, and fire up the grill.. and still love each other.
That's a thing my parents passed on to me.. I'm still grateful they passed that on.
It's a big reason I shut down my Facebook a coupe years ago. Too damn easy to have a few beers, and be a keyboard warrior for a while, and waste hours on something that would be a five minute conversation in person.

It's tough to be a cig smoker these days. Gotta be careful smoking a cig outside McDonald's waiting for the wife.. might offend someone who just wolfed down 2000 calories of heart-clogging garbage.
 

The grand daughter has been helping me clean the barn on weekends and will help me clean off the 66 to start on it. Last weekend she was wiping the dirt on the windows to look inside.

Second hand calories? :poke: As long as you are a reasonable distance from the building, who cares. Left a funeral the other day and this guy lights up right outside the door. Not cool. I actually like the smell of fresh tobacco. Lord knows I've had my share of second hand smoke.
 
Last time I went , one of the members on here by the name of Cosgig had a coffee for me when I arrived . That was so cool !

Honestly, one has to remember that opinions are like belly buttons: everyone has one. I’ll agree that this thread probably wasn’t the best place to discuss it, but it was nice to see everyone here could voice their opinion and not ruffle each others feathers. I’m not antigun by no means, just think certain guns, as well as other things, are more appropriate than others.

Even as the runt of the group, I don’t see having a small discussion amongst friends on a controversial topic as a reason to leave. I enjoy everyone’s opinion and advice.
