Can you rent a propane heater (I think they call them a Salamander) and create an enclosure to put some heat under there to defrost the pipes? Don't know if that's possible especially when it's that cold.

Morning Fred... Maybe your plumbing problem was caused by a big log being flushed down the pipes LOL. Stand back we may have to blast.
Yes I have one and been on for an hour or two yesterday. I started at the end of the pipe that takes a dive in the ground and been working my way to the end of the pipe. Out of propane will get more today.

The vent on the roof was plugged with ice and the water didn't go through the line fast enough and froze and that turd plugged the rest of it. lol
Can you pour hot water down the toilet or is it completely plugged?

Another 32 below morning, that first part of winter was mild and now were paying for it. lol
May have to make a umbrella shaped cover for the vent pipe.

Fred could you mix a salt water solution to pour in and let sit?
I did and so far I was able to thaw out the one front bathroom.
I'm just a sissy anymore when it comes to this deep cold I should of had it fixed by now.
Yes and going to get some salt today thanks I didn't think of that but that would work well.
Valentine day I forgot not sure if anything is open.

Well guys I just broke down and bought this. We have one at work and it will start a schoolbus in 10 degree weather and a stone dead battery that wont even light dash lights. I know its alot to spend but should come in use with all the cars and tractors around home.

The one we have at work is almost 4 years old and still will fire 3 dead ones in a row without trouble.

Ever try and use one when it's 30 below out side and the wind is blowing? That makes everything pucker up. lol
Maybe not 30 below but better than looking for a log or rock to sit on. lol. Some of those cold hunting expeditions would plug me up for days. We had a failure in one of the shops I worked at. We had a portopotty sitting on the frame rack for a few days until the smell of medicated cherries forced us to move it outside. We put a little electric heater in there. wasn't too bad.
I'm glad you can use one toilet.

Hey CF good idea I think I'll poor me a whiskey and set in my scamp. It never asks for chocolate just an oil change now and then.
