Morning Fred...your turn to get the rain. We literally had it all weekend. Wife and I did virtually nothing all weekend, oh yeah she did the laundry. But other than that is was a lay about weekend.
My 4 boys kept me busy. We cleaned and waxed cars, My younger boy with the Fiat had a door dent from some *** hole in a parking lot I was able to push it out got a hug from him and a atta boy.

Home from work another Monday down the tube.
???? looks like you all have been busy today so I win!

Nothing better than scrounging threw a junk yard.
Did you find anything good to bring home CF.
I bought a brake proportioning valve for the kids car. I put one of those brand new brass ones on in November and it has started to leak 2 times on me now. I only replaced the old one because when I put new lines on it the piece with the wire rotted off. 45 buck for brass that gave trouble twice or used good for 11 bucks that will outlast the car.

I am so tired of new parts. I think we should send them all back to the countries that make them followed by a big foot up the ***.

Cheep chit parts I agree I do my dammdest to save from changing parts . Cardone rebuilt parts are so bad they have rebranded them under a new name .

I was working on a Mercedes C 230 change the steering rack customer drove away had it for one month came back with a noise I went for a drive around the block heard the noise was pulling back into the shop and the steering locked up solid couldn’t turn it scariest thing ever good thing it happened to me and not to the customer at highway speed‘s it would’ve killed somebody phoned that rep that’s when he told me that they change the name of the company because of repercussions thank God the customer had the sense to bring it back with the noise

I honestly thought that the pinch bolt fell out and jammed my initial thought as I sat shaking in my /his seat I thought I fuked up nope not me after I got it in the shop was a locked up reman steering rack .

I know what you are saying Biff I hate working on suspension Always trying to make sure I did it right.
I am so glad I retire soon I don't have many come backs about 2 a year and it's almost always a windshield crack or a aftermarket radiator leaking. I am so glad I haven't killed anyone yet because of my screw up.

It’s always on my mind , I double check everything it’s a pride thing no come backs although you still get them.

Mostly because sometimes things get missed at the counter and on the work order

My biggest problem is putting a door back together some times I forget to hook up the inside door handle and have to take it apart again. Or have extra bolts or screws that take me awhile to figure out ware they go.

My boss and I were having our morning coffee today and thinking back on the old days some people that came in for an estimate would blame there oil burning car on the the accident. They would be a quart low every 1,000 miles or so and say because of the accident my car is losing oil.
Or my all time favorite is when you finished fixing the right side of the car the owner says all the damage to the left side was not there when they brought it to the shop.

Morning Mark. Been busy at work Got my first hail damage pick up in yesterday and got all the dents out of one side. the roof is gonna take me some time big hail the size of 50 cent coin.
It's getting harder for me to focus on them.

The young guys can take over for me they do better at hail than me Mark.
