Holy crap it was just nasty outside this morning. My Dr office is right by the city airport so the wind was just whipping around. Got a requisition for an x-ray so walked over to the other building and it was large white flakes coming down sideways.
So he's very happy with my results or should I say his.
He's a great guy and somewhere around 40 but a great sense of humour so we had a few laughs.
Sun is out now but still windy.
This is my friends 31 high boy. He's at the Motorama Car Show in Toronto this weekend

going to the show with my boy this weekend...the cost is getting a little to dear for my liking tbh

I agree. Looks like it's in your shop. Hideaway headlights... Good fun.
Yea but I'm not committed on fixing it till I tear it apart and see how bad the core support and inner fender are. I'm only changing parts and just a bit of hammering on it.

So no paint?

We’ve had two shop vans get “crunched” lately, and for some reason we can’t seem to find a body shop in Minne-a no-place that can match white paint worth a damn.

I know silvers and grays can be a ***** to match, but never thought white would be so hard.

So which model is it, the thunder turkey or the fire chicken. Does it have a crow stuck to the hood. The 1968 era was the last firebird i thought looked good.
No crow or turkey on the hood just a plain old Trans Am.
I'll rip it apart this afternoon and see how bad the damage is.

White is the worst. Color match problems come from different vats from the Original Equipment Manufacturers. When one vat runs out, the next one wont be exactly the same so do the math. How may white cars have been sold? When I repair a white car, my paint jobber usually have about a dozen variances of the same paint code.

Silver is another that is a real hard match

I liked them all up until 1977 but they slowly got uglier through the years. I had a 1967 for a spell. Of course, it did not run.

I had a 1995 Ford Econoline van that was sideswiped by a dump truck in early 97. Damage wasn't major, but did require a repaint of the left side from the door to the rear bumper. I took it to a good bodyshop that I had dealt with before and was happy with the job they had done for me previously, but when I went to pick it up, I was completely disgusted with the results. The original color was a very bright white, similar to Wimbledon white, if you're familiar with it, but the 'newly painted' section was an almost pale yellow, and extremely noticeable. I refused to accept it and after some arguments and a phone call to my insurance company, it was eventually repainted the correct shade. I too could not fathom how someone could **** up a white paint job, particularly on a nearly new vehicle.

There has been a few jobs where I just go ahead and paint the whole side even if I'm not getting paid to paint the whole side. I might even be loosing money but better than dicking around or pissing off the customer.

Yea for sure and the customer will never come back and tell all his friends not to go to your shop for repair.
