Hi guys, it's a real stinker today and not going to the car show tonight.
There's only one area that has shade and that will be taken up really quick and the rest will be out in the blazing sun and on asphalt.
Was sitting outside for a while and a good breeze but still too hot.
Weather liar says rain most of the day tomorrow so its wait and see if we have a show tomorrow.
Terrible flooding down in Texas.

They put on a great event each week. Going to be appreciation day July 20th with free bbq, many door prizes, free timmies coffee and desserts, ice cream truck and live band.
89 and older. Hope the weather works out.

that would have worked out but...I will be in Aruba that week with the fam. I would have loved to show up to me you and your ride. On another note, I think Sharon is still pushing ozzy to perform. I hear he has parkinson's now. She is a real money grubbing sod she is. I read somewhere that nobody liked dealing with Sharon because she is a winner take all and there is no winning with her. I never liked her on the TV show "the view".
 
Pretty quiet weekend here, started to work on my Super Coupe Thunderbird Saturday morning. Valve cover gaskets are leaking pretty bad, what a job, I'm still not at the halfway point after several hours. The supercharger plumbing is a lot of work to remove all of the intercooler pipes, then the EGR, which is nearly inaccessible, plus removing the alternator and power steering pump, and draining the coolant. I should have it apart tonight after work and with a bit of luck, back together by midweek, unless I have to wait for gaskets.
This coming weekend is Street Machine Weekend so I would like to have it on the road by then, but if not I'll take the Ventura out. Not sure if my brother is going to come down for it or not, or which car he would bring along. He bought a Blueprint engines 408 for his 68 Dart GT, but I don't think it has been installed yet.
Off to work damn it!

Yes Ozzy has Parkinson's and pushing 80 isn't he?
He still did a great job but not sure about Sharon.
As you know I got new hearing aids about a week ago.
The left one got quite warm last night and it's crapped out.
Nothing last forever haha
They've sent it away to get repaired or replaced.
I can get along with one I'm sure. I'll make a point of sitting on my wife's right side haha

lol...aruba is NOT bad in july. it is constantly blanketed by a rather cool breeze all day long. I'd love to retire there.
 
Morning guys.
Got woke up at 5 this morning. Someone tried to break into our neighbours truck and the alarm went off. The asshole didn't stay around that's for sure.
The car show was great last night. It cooled right down and a nice breeze so quite comfortable.
I didn't take any pictures because I have posted them all before.
Nice to get the windows open again.
My oldest Grandson turns 18 today. He's a great guy

Spent an hour and a half last night in the garage, got the right side valve cover off, changed the plugs and wires, they were clearly the originals. New gasket is in place, cover is cleaned and ready to go back on, but I want to put some blue loctite on the bolts before I reinstall it. The pipe in the back is the intake charge inlet, which I was hoping I could leave in place, but it impedes the removal of the cover on the driver's side, so it has to come off and that means that I need a new gasket for it. I will try the local parts store after work today, otherwise it's already in my cart at RockAuto.

I don't expect to have it done by the weekend, but no big deal. It's going to be around 88* today and tomorrow so I probably won't be doing much after work, the heat just sucks the energy out of me. Plus I expect I'll be waiting for the gaskets I need for at least a day or two minimum.
It's just amazing how everything is packed in so tightly on this motor.

I don't do well in the heat as well so totally understand that.
