Yep figured that out before I retired then added more than I made just encase and they told me when I could start getting paid this would be the first check and they figured that they would owe me at least 1 or 2 more months prior but I just wanted to cover all bases so this would not happen.
Looks like they are gonna run me right in the ground.
It should all pan out Fred. Tit for Tat. Just typical big gov bullshit. Do you have a financial adviser?

Better than being shot at and hit. I've been pissed on too. It wasn't that bad. Pissed off is way worse. Hang in there Fred. Cooler heads prevail.
Thanks BP for reminding me. If it wasn't for a friend like you a long time ago I would have been in jail and lost all my kids.

Just the big guy up stairs that I'm still trying to get him to answer his phone.
I'm pretty sure he doesn't agree with a monetary system. I'm sure there is some low cost if not free financial help for your position. Look in the phone book under County gov . Maybe something there. Agency for the aging? I know you are independent and I admire that. Some times we need to reel in some help from all of those tax dollars we have been paying.

I will figure it out just trying to hang in there till I get it solved.
Thanks for putting up with my wining I got good friends here and glad you all are here.

I do not see your post as a complaining situation at all. It's a real situation that needs to be addressed.

Night guys.
I know a guy prepping for paint that would pay cash for some day labor. Shop is heated and fully stocked with good music and bourbon. Meals and a spare room included. Of course you might have to share bed with a large German Shepard. PM if you are interested. Bet we can work out a short term solution. Totally agree with BP, did not see any complaints just stating the facts.

Ok guys looking for some help. My son needs a back window for his 41 Dodge. As I understand it it is the same for Chrysler also and 41 to 48 will work. It is a curved glass so I dont think we can get a new one.

Do you need me to do some searching on this coast CF?

Morning guys. Just reading some of your comments about your Government. Seems the same all around. The bad thing right now is that your Gov. is closed for (shall we say) renovations so nobody is getting paid. Hope it's settled soon for everyone.

i am guilty of not paying attention Mark. I know how our Social Security works but I have no idea if a similar program exists in Canada. I know my own situation is different than most as a disabled military guy. The savings of my wife and I through retirement accounts is critical in our planning.

Just curious!

Morning Jeff... Our Old Age Pension starts the first month after your birthday month. We also get our CPP (Canadian Pension Plan) when we turn 65. The CPP is available also before you turn 65 but a certain amount is deducted for every year before 65. Hope that makes sense. I retired at 64 and they took I thing 7% off my CPP which didn't hurt at all. We also have RRSP's (registered retirement savings plan) and TSFA's (tax free saving account) investments and so on. Not familiar with your retirement and pension plans in the U.S. but the CPP as we call it is deducted from every paycheque (Canadian lol). We also get some coverage for Meds as well but not everything is covered but a pretty good system. Yes we pay a lot of taxes in Canada but we also get a lot in return.

Your a good man SLO and I thank you for the offer but to far away from home and need to be here for my youngest boy.
Besides I would never charge you to help work on your car.

Good morning Fred, SLO, Mark, Biff and BP!

Mark, that's not a whole lot different from our system. I'm just glad you are doing well in retirement.

Good afternoon friends. Had a nice breakfast with my sister. We visited for 2 hours. Might change our Vancouver Island visit plan we have for this spring. We will see when she gets back from Hawaii. (*****) Just kidding. She's a very nice person. Hope you all having a good day . It's shop time now for me. Made a new contact yesterday. The guy is hooked on cars and bikes and has money. I just met him a couple $100,000 too late Ha ha. Gonna restore his Bultaco tank.
Might have to go see my new bartender girl friend this afternoon.

Hey Fred. I have a glass question. Would you glue the back glass of this 65 Impala or just use butyle?
