Windshield washer fluid on the door seams works wonders, and you don't have to worry about ripping the handles off. Make sure to buy the good stuff.
Spray silicone on the weatherstrips and also open the little door on the lock cylinder on the outside of the door and spray with Trans fluid. Never never use lock de-icer as it crystallizes around the tumblers and seizes up the locks. The Trans fluid will flush out any dirt in there and leave a nice coating inside. Used it for years and never had locks freeze up. I've rebuilt many a lock cylinder in my day all because people use lock de-icer. Awful stuff.

If mine turns out half as good as yours I will be a happy camper.
Morning buddy looks like another sunny day and not to cold, had a nice walk.
Yours is going to turn out just fine Fred. You're taking your time and correcting the little things and using great materials. Mines not perfect I can pick out all kinds of problems. Not a show car but a nice driver. Give yourself the credit you deserve.

Been a long time since I had a frozen door I just keep mine in a heated garage. Not cheap but real nice not having to thaw out my car all winter.

Well guys primer is going on over the epoxy now.
Ordered my manual steering box and should be in by Monday.
And my check book is empty. lol

LOL looks like I better answer that one.
Just a factory rebuild for now Just a hair over $200. Not sure if I want manual or not just going to try it out before I spend big bucks.

I think it will take a few years before I get everything done that I want to do but I want to be able to drive it and upgrade as I go.

Did you always have manual Fred?
No FOG was power but I'm trying to keep the power to the ground instead and I don't mind non power steering. I have no idea how much HP it takes to run the steering pump but would guess around 4 or 5.

I like the manual box. haven't driven my Barracuda in years though. I have everything for power if I decide to go that rout.

Just want to let you know if you go from power steering box to manual you have to get an extension ,because the power steering column is shorter. Will try and find you a pic of the extension.
