Hey Biff I like working on boats what kinda boat are you working on and what kinda stuff are you doing to it if ya don't mind me asking.

Hey BP how's the limo going.
Pretty good. The guy that did the body work fell a little short as to what I think "good enough" is so I'am having to fix some spots and do some more priming. Then they dropped off fender skirts and I said one word and it started with F. Both quarters have been patched and I knew they would not fit. I haven't talked to the owner. The builder that did all of the custom hot-rodding didn't want him to order them but the owner told the parts guy to order them. I think he will change his mind when I give him an estimate of how much it's going to cost him to make those things fit. There is an inch difference in width between the openings.

We ordered a special tool to install the hood springs. Could have made it easily if we had seen the instructions. Its real simple. You use a floor jack to stretch the spring and this tool captures the spring. Just the opposit of a spring compressor.
Hows your project coming along? Gotta get back to work. Sure is easier being in the shop when it's cold and rainy.

Yea fender skirts not a good idea and always something to fix before paint. Sounds like you got yourself lots of work ahead of you.
steering column is being painted just waiting in between coats.

Did you just fill that shifter hole with JB weld and kind of bridged it over? Don't know why that shouldn't work.

Sounds like fun Biff my father in law had a 36 foot that I did some fiber glass work on a few years ago and re striped it and painted the bottom and buffed and waxed the complete boat took forever but had a good time.
He lives in Washington and we took the boat Island hopping almost made it up to Vancouver.
I love the ocean and boats.
