I Posted on small block engines and am sure I'll get my answer soon.
Smart guys on here for sure.

You may be true about the value but they were pretty crude to drive and the Lucas wiring well... If you know about Lucas wiring, It sucks on just about everything. That thing should perform real well on the track. That's the next plan, track time. Did you watch the movies? Kind of long but old Butch does a pretty good job. I think they git 375 to the wheels.A really nice build but there really devalued the car doing that. They are a really rare car.
From what I see the Doc was building it to enjoy and drive it not looking at a collector. You may be true about the value but they were pretty crude to drive and the Lucas wiring well... Kind of ironic about the Doc. He tried some hot rod modern treatment on himself. Guinea pig so to speak. Well we know how that worked but hope they got some data from it. We did a factory production racer Norton for him. From what I see the Doc was building it to enjoy and drive it not looking at a collector.
I guess when you don't have anything to loose do what you can.Kind of ironic about the Doc. He tried some hot rod modern treatment on himself. Guinea pig so to speak. Well we know how that worked but hope they got some data from it. We did a factory production racer Norton for him.

I missed that era by a bit. Mostly Jap bikes for me. It's amazing how much these guys know about those British bikes and the people who raced them and what to do to modernize them where they need it.I like bikes been a long time I guess I need training wheel now.
I like dirt the best. Remember the old Benelli if I spelled that right. Maco, Bultaco and so on.
Jap bikes are hard to beat they do a good job. Worked in a warehouse in Seattle Washington for Yamaha, Kawasaki and Bultaco in the late 70s . The Bultaco was like driving a Cadillac compared to the Jap bikes back then. I'm talking about dirt bike not road, never really got into road bikes.I missed that era by a bit. The only new bike I ever bought was a vertical twin 650 Suzuki. Not real fast but torque and handled well. I was always bouncing the foot pegs off of the pavement. Recently played with some DOHC Hondas. One was a 900 F That was a blast but I'm done on the street. Might get a tame little dirt bike again.Jap bikes are hard to beat they do a good job. I would like another trials bike I can go slow and climb some hills that was always my favorite thing. 250 cc would be great. The only new bike I ever bought was a vertical twin 650 Suzuki.
