We had very high winds last evening. Our neighbours pine tree is now on a wicked slant. We emptied the garage and shed because they are right in line. My neighbour across the road let me put the Cuda in his garage over night so it was safe. Tree cutters will be busy today for sure and dare I say will be overcharging a little LOL. We lost power for 1.5 hours but that was ok. I heard a tree has come down just around the corner from us. A wild night indeed but we're all safe.

Glad to hear you are safe Mark, they said the GTA had 120 mile an hour winds and 2 people where killed, we had high winds but nothing like you guys had .

The first pictures are of my neighbours tree. It comes down today. The last three is my neighbours place across the road. It came down slowly she said and landed right between her garage and the neighbours house. It put a scratch on her garage door. The trailer is a simple fix. It's a tilt trailer and only the tongue got damaged. 100 bucks and it's back on the road again. The main thing is nobody got hurt. Beautiful day today.
 
That's some nasty winds you got.
Looks like there will plenty of fire wood next winter.
 
Cutting grass on the sidehill around the pond tonight and the right rear axle snaps off. I just bought a new battery for it last week and she runs good. New blades last year. Too many acres for a push mower.

yea I know what your going through CF been there. Moved off the farm about 3 years ago had 80 acres witch is small for this country.
After my wife died it was down hill from there and the kids started moving out and making there own life, last on the farm was 3 boys that had no desire to farm so sold the farm and now live in a small town.
I miss the farm a lot and the breakdowns.
My friend as far as I am concerned we need the small farmers because they are not only the back bone of this country but they are the only ones that care about there crops.
Had to mow my lawn with the brush hog and a push mower.
I think you can fix your mower. give her hell CF.

I do have a brush hog and a push mower. I found a rider like mine on Craigslist and called the guy. Going tomorrow afternoon it has sat a few years and wont crank. He said might be battery or starter but at 100 bucks it might just be good luck. lol
 
The tree is now a stack of wood and came down nice and easy. It was a 1 guy and 1 woman that cut it down. She was right up in the top of the tree with the chainsaw. She sure knew what she was doing. She did the cutting and he did the grunt work. 2 hours and all done. Cars are back in the garage safe and sound.

Sounds like she sure knew how to handle wood.
 
Well 25 bucks in gas for the truck and 100 for the mower. Put the new battery in out of mine and she fired right up. Cut at least 1/2 acre before it ran out of the old gas. Great machine and the only thing I find wrong is the RF wheel bearings are out but I can swap mine to it spindle and tire. Finally some good luck. I do believe in karma and gave a guy parts that he needed yesterday.

Up and doing chores. Retirement is over lol back to work. I actually work harder at home on weekends than at work.
