Just got home from work Had to stay late to put a new windshield in a semi, what a pain in the butt.Easy with the Ford see ya later.
Wow Fred really working late. Thanks for the info, good to watch out for.Just got home from work Had to stay late to put a new windshield in a semi, what a pain in the butt.
I hate replacing glass, most of our windshields come from China and they don't fit good.
Just so you know guys on your cars when you get a windshield replaced (on your newer cars) they have to be cut out and if the guy doing the work scratches your paint around were the windshield sets in and is an *** and not put primer on the bare metal it will rust real fast and you will not see it till you start to see rust bubbles on your roof around the glass.
I'm not the best at anything but still care about my work even if it's a Ford.
going to bed but before I do FOG did you get your car back together.Wow Fred really working late. Thanks for the info, good to watch out for.
I agree with you Fred. Having been in the Auto Glass trade for many years I've seen it all. I really loved doing the antique cars and I got to drive a lot of them too.Just got home from work Had to stay late to put a new windshield in a semi, what a pain in the butt.

We don't get many old cars to put windshields in but sure would be nice.I agree with you Fred. Having been in the Auto Glass trade for many years I've seen it all. I really loved doing the antique cars and I got to drive a lot of them too.
I do the odd one but not too often anymore. We don't get many old cars to put windshields in but sure would be nice.
I do about 3 a week and that's enough for me.I do the odd one but not too often anymore.
The newer ones that are glued in you use piano wire to cut them out without breaking them. Just make sure you wear safety glasses. If the wire breaks it springs back and almost like a fish hook. I knew a couple of guys that had it come back at them and went into their eye. And like I said resembles a fish hook so imagine that going into your eye. Not a pleasant thought. The old ones are the only ones I can pull without breaking.
