Nice ! I’ve lived on the island all my life not gonna say how old I am , but there is always a fire extinguisher handy at birthday party’s
We had some family friends Who lived in Sooke. Good fun as a kid taking the ferry and catching sea food. They moved to Parksville. Don't know if they are still alive as we have lost touch since my parents passings.

Are you still up in the air about this summer coming back to the island ,yes a my father used to say ,Parksville is God’s waiting room .

I worked and played hockey for years in Tacoma, many pleasant memories of "your island". The garden was always one of our favorite places. Total tourist trap but kept going back! So we rode motorcycles everywhere and often took the ferries here and there. We got caught in the rain and were in the guest center trying to get warm. My buddy has to pee so goes into the head. Few minutes later I hear the hand dryer on full tilt shutoff then the slam of the mushroom switch being crushed yet again. After an extended period of time my buddy does not come out of the head. Hand dryer still howling I decide to investigate. Yep , there he is leathers around his feet and pants around his knees in what can only be called a comedic pose trying to dry his junk. I had warned him leather pants were much better for the trip than chaps but nooooooo he had to wear chaps!

Pretty sure we are not gonna do it. My wife's work wont jive and I'm tired of being the fifth wheel. As a family we all just need to get together and there is so much to see and do locally. It just doesn't make sense to me.

Hi Mark. Its a rubber gasket, seal, weatherstrip, whatever you want to call it that is retained to the outer chrome belt molding. The felt on the inside is in good condition. When ever I google it they show me the vertical molding or whole kit but never just the 1/4 panel belt molding gasket. And the whole kit never specifies what is really in the kit.

How old school am I. I have the rear window trim molding clips in stock. HA!
I still have a good supply of clips too BP. Been in my toolbox for a long time.

Real mean and just like a Buffalo. 45.70 is better than a 270 for Moose I here. Never shot one but seen a lot of cars they totaled out. lol

that would be better for stopping a tank also.

I've never fired a 45.70 but I'll bet that son of a gun will bite a little bit!

Morning Mark and happy birthday.
Getting older just means your getting wiser.

Morning Jeff, My son in Alaska has one but I never shot one.
The biggest I shot was a Barret 50 cal but was on a tri pod.

No I meant Rye Whiskey Fred. Love rye bread too.
That sounds good to I'll take both. lol
I been working the whole week about 5 hours a day so I should be able to get my paint supplies I need. I want to get my 1/4 panels in primer next week and start on the doors and fenders.

Sure be nice to see it finished Fred. I bet you can't wait either.
I'm getting pretty excited Mark but gonna cost a butt load of money.
You did the right thing buying yours already done much cheaper and the garage stays clean.
I just wanted to do my own just once in my life.

Happy early Birthday wishes Mark!

I'm glad your joining me in continuing to breathe for at least another year!

I would have like to do that myself Fred. I'd be ok with a lot of the mechanical stuff and possibly the wiring too but body work would be out of the question. That would have been back in the day of course. Good luck to doing that now. Too many aches and pains. Just heard that tonight will be very cold. Will feel like -24c tonight. We'll be warm inside. Glad we don't have a dog that needs to go out for a walk.
