Ya. aint looking real good Fred. I can handle the snow and cold but that wind is really messing with us. We have virtually a twin to the tree that fell on us.

Been a while since I experienced an open casket funeral. Was hoping to not see any more dead people on purpose. It was cool though. The old gal was always super hip. She had the funeral all planned out and had all these people lined up to talk and sing who just kind of showed up without notice. She had her hair done every Thursday. Including the Thursday before the Monday that she died. Pneumonia. She just shut down. 87 years old.
She picked some inspiring bible verses too. Really made me think about how easy it is to become depressed and to always stay up-beat.

Yup. Full basement and livable. We have beds down there.

May have over cooked it Fred. That would make it tough. My wife roasts a chicken all the time and never had a bad one yet. Maybe it was an old rooster.. who knows.

Morning guys. Made it through the night with high winds. I haven't checked outside for any damage yet. It's still blowing hard out there and we didn't get much snow to speak of. So far so good. One good think is that we didn't lose hydro and good job because my wife was watching the Oscars last night. God forbid if the hydro had gone out LOL

I have the heat on in the garage and plan on working on the scamp today. Cleaned the garage yesterday and that's as far as I got. Lazy for sure. lol

Don't think the shovel or blower will be moving at all Fred. Hey..everyone has a lazy day once in a while and why not. You're retired and have earned it so why do something today when it can be done tomorrow LOL
Been liking being retired for sure I can do what I want. I even get to be home for my son and see him off to school.
Every morning as my boy walks out the door to get on the bus I tell him have fun in school I'm retired so the dishes will be waiting for you to clean up when you get home.
He gives me the finger and we both laugh.

Got a good relationship with him...that's great. Some kids can be really hard to get along with and a big attitude as well. Wouldn't last in my house I'm afraid. We have a great relationship with our kids...always have. Just talked to my son on FB and their area is all shut down due to whiteouts and high winds. He gets to stay home with pay again.
My youngest daughter had a real bad attitude she told me one day that she was going to call the cops if I spanked her. I handed her the phone and said go ahead and call and when you finish I'm gonna paddle you till they get here. lol
We get along real good now that she grew up.

LOL...nothing like calling their bluff. They will always test the waters and see how far they can get. Nice you have a good relationship with her. Nothing like a daughter's love for her dad. It's a special love affair. You're a good man and a great father Fred. You've had it hard without your dear wife raising the kids and my hats off to you. Have a great day.

No snow thankfully but real high winds. I am almost afraid to check the roof when I feed the animals in a bit.
Well hopefully you didn't loose any shingles.
Kinda miss feeding animals in the morning they were always happy to see me.
