Yea dist. carb. also. 2 year warranty.
I told him I wasn't ready to install it for some time yet and he told me he might be able to extend the warranty till I get it in the hole running within reasonable time anyway.
When SLO was here we talked about selling the 340 I have and getting the Blue Print engine and he said the Blue Print engine is the way to go. I don't want to sell the 340 it's a great running engine but I can't afford the new engine till I sell the 340.

I have no idea what the 340 is worth but would be a complete engine with all the bolt on's.
including headers I would guess about $2,000.

Fred, for your specific situation and parameters the Blue print is still an excellent option. You will likely save some cash given what you are working with. Wish we could all build our own but that is just not always realistic. Can't wait to see it. Paint is georgeous! Well done guy!

I agree John I will go to work again to pay for the Blue Print engine. I would like to get it before summer is over.

Well that suks, going back to work is no fun! At least you have a great boss. Hope he survived the city council meeting! Or you could find an independently wealthy stripper and marry her?

Depending on the year and VIN it could be valuable to someone. I think the $2000 is reasonable just as a good running engine.

It's a 1970 the heads I can't remember but big valve heads ported and polished and they cc in as factory so never been planed down.
I would guess it would sell pretty fast. I should list it here on the for sale trend I'm just not sure how to ship it or go about exchanging cash and engine.

I been talking to Johnny Mac on a Blue Print 408 engine and I can buy a turn key engine from him for about $8,000. I really think that's the best way to go.

Yes. Its a 65 not a split window. Kind of a turd. Been wrecked (imagine that). I think they all have been wrecked. He just wants a driver. No judging or points car. Someone started the job and couldn't finish it. Same old story, pay me by the hour. Have a couple little jobs lined up first. No hurry. Guy says I can use it for fill in work but I just as soon get it done but I aint gonna turn down any gravy licks, thats for sure.
What a gorgeous day. Got the lawn mowed yesterday and did some deadheading and fertilizing this morning. Supposed to hit 90 tomorrow. Hope you have a good day.

If they're in good shape just clean them up and reuse. Then you'd have to buy a new pair.
