Sad for sure. I feel like putting myself away for winter this year.Yes sir all done ,getting ready to winterize the duster.![]()
Sounds like fun I really like long trips in my old car.no kidding
I had the duster out yesterday, and ran a bunch of errands with it on Saturday
I musta put over 100 miles on it that day
but I did have to close the fresh air vents
It's all back country roads around here and I love it.me too
it was a blast
best part was, it was all on back country roads
Now get to work.

Hate to hear that. Our Friday night show at the funeral home has been cancelled because of a huge funeral that day but they still plan of further shows. Can't you keep driving the Duster on the nice days while you can or do you like to get it done while it's still nice out?Yes sir all done ,getting ready to winterize the duster.![]()
Any luck?Well that’s a first , I was pooped last night couldn’t keep my eyes open, so I will concede I was not last , or first but I did make it to Huuuummmmmppp Daaaayyyyyy !
Sure is good to hear that you are feeling better. That pic of you hand looked brutal. What a gorgeous day. I had my buddy change the oil for me on the 300. I have always changed the oil on our cars but just didn't want to take any chances with the hands till I talk to the Dr on Thurs. They are doing good and hardly any discomfort except the usual arthritic pain. Cut the grass this afternoon... well most of it and I'll finish it tomorrow. Seemed to run out of steam.
Thanks BP... yeah it was mighty uncomfortable. Undoing the jeans to take a "P" was quite a challenge and painful.Sure is good to hear that you are feeling better. That pic of you hand looked brutal.
Thanks for the welcomeI stopped in to a speed shop (Karbelt) today and priced out a disk brake conversion for the front of the Cuda. Remember I said things are expensive here.... 1500 bucks plus taxes so 1700 bucks. The kit uses the original spindles so that saves money and an alignment. Considering I drive around 700 miles a year I'm thinking why???? The car stops quite well as is and I don't get silly with it very often and respect the fact that they are drum brakes so forget it.
I'll look that up thanks. Remember when we get things shipped to Canada we pay exchange rate, shipping, brokerage fees and the taxes so it it almost doubles the prices but thanks. My car was an original 273 car and has 10" drums which helps. Thanks for the welcome
Have you looked into scarebird?
I think a whole kit is in the 500 range, using your stock spindles, and off the shelf Chevy calipers with redrilled Toyota rotors
I have it on my duster and it sure stops better then the 9 inch drums did
Damned weatherman. Just cold here. Pretty nice day actually.Well **** looks like we are gonna get hit with a butt load of snow and high winds and possible power outage till Saturday sometime. There saying 2 to 3' of wet snow. Hope the weather man is wrong this time.

Hope you don't get snow to soon You must live in the country to need a plow truck. There's a reason the Bible warns us against false prophets
I got rid of my plow truck and the (prospective) replacement wont be done until mid November, so dont expect any snow before then here in Michigan, cause I wont be able to clean it up
A little early for me BP but nothing I do is gonna change it.Damned weatherman. Just cold here. Pretty nice day actually.
