I agree with you 100%, too much perfectly good materials get thrown out for no reason, so why shouldn't someone have the opportunity to make something out of them. Good for you, free materials makes for a better profit for your hard work, and yes, Fred, you do some excellent work.
Thanks Randy I feel like all of us here have some pride in what we do.

we had a water installed after we moved in. 20 some years later, it's leaking. replaced and installer says you'll be lucky with 5 years!!! maybe I should have just rented one :)

We have a local container site the lets us drop off recyclables. This throw away society is sickening. I just put in a new water softener. It lasted 30 years. Sure hope this new digital one can pull that off.
We recycle most everything, plus my wife composts, she is the driving force when it comes to these practices, I admit I can be a bit lazy at times.
That said, I have always felt that those of us who are car people are the original recyclers, we keep the old cars on the road, thereby reducing the emissions created by manufacturing new automobiles. At least that's what I believe, and I don't like much of what's out there in new stuff anyway, nor can I afford it.

I'm a composting fool. Hard to do in sub-zero temps but I still return it back to the earth. They say they aren't making more land. Well I am. LOL

I had composting worms but I let them freeze to death. I got tired of the bugs indoors so I tried to move them outside with some deep beds but I failed. I might try again. They make the perfect growing medium.

No pretty sky tonight but 10 below and not going to go look around and wait to see the northern lights. Going to bed and hope it warms up soon.

Morning guys.
Getting ready for part 2 of the storm so should be another foot over the two days.
It's coming up from the south so thanks a lot.
Had the Chinese as planned, been going right through me this morning.
I had bought some chocolate covered strawberries from Costco so it was the perfect gift as my wife loves them.
Have a great weekend

Good morning guys...
Good morning, hang on to your hats, record cold temps heading your way in a few days, and it looks to stay low for a few also.
One thing that makes me not worry is that you are an old pro, so I can bet you are preparing for it and taking advantage of the weather today.

Snow in our Forcast Tuesday/Wensday and cold ..

Stay sharp my friend, stay sharp
