Happy birfday Charlie... funny, that's my dads name...He started out as a body man to until he switched gears and became a carpenter....He always told me to steer away from being a body guy...tough on the body
My Dad was a mechanic. He too told me stay away from any job having to do with cars. I was a Body man for 20 years before I got out and changed careers. :BangHead: Should have listened. It's true. Kids don't listen to their parents.

It's been good to me. Having the tools and skill to be able to work at home being semi-retired is a bonus.

a man who works with his hands can never be deemed expendable, that's what my pappy always used to say. I used to frame custom homes when I wore a younger man's clothes, but now I talk and sell for a living. A few more years and I'm done with the plumbing and HVAC trade. Thinking about opening up a dustless media blasting company as a retirement gig to pass the time and supplement my income . One day at a time for me now. Three kids still living at home, so..we will see how that pans out

Been semi retired for almost a year now, work when I feel like it. Not because I have to but because I want to. Two odd time 3 days a week. You think you want to be busy, that will pass. You will find that you don’t have enough time in the day to do the things you want to do. Empty nester now so all the chores I farmed out on my boys now belong to me. Almost thinking I should go back to work to rest up.

I have a good friend coming down from Canada tomorrow for a visit.
Always enjoy another old car guy to hang out with and he has a lot of cool cars.
