Optometrist visit t at 9:30 today.
Probably need a new lens today. Only need one as I'm binocular.

Good morning guys, looks like a do nothing day for me.
Winter storm here. Left home early as I knew the commute was going to be bad, got to work here about 15 minutes ago, and the damn power is out. Can’t get in, as all of the security locks are electric, so I’m just sitting here in my car….

i had a neighbor who had a 70 monte carlo with side pipes.. it looked a little odd but sounded real bad ***. I had a buddy that put side pipes on his vega no doubt.( looked cool).EVERYONE was putting those on their cars at the time.

just read his ob. They said he played in the NHL for a very very short time. He lived down the street from us. he played maybe a few games after he got called up their farm team. it doesnt say what team and we are not going to ask tonight when we see the family. I hate funerals. I never ever ever know what to say. I'm usually never short on words but for some reason, just never know what to say other than the scripted ' " My condolences and sorry for your loss"

My wife says the worst thing you can say at a time like this is, "If there's anything I/we can do....", as this puts the weight back on the family...at a time when they really don't need to deal with any more BS. (Edit: Well, I guess it's not the worst thing, but it's not all that helpful.)
Yes, the person saying this has a good heart, and one that's "in the right place", but there are much better responses than this. Trust your heart, and consider what you're going to say before speaking.

well now...this is turning out to be an interesting week...just rec'ved word thru the company email, that a long standing plumbing associate and my part time plg/hvac mentor just passed away yesterday as well. he was 85 and died of natural causes..they say it happens in three's don't they? I'm up to two and the week is not over yet

At least one keen eye anyway. Btw had my eyes examined today and still reading at 20/20 and everything is good. So no new lens required. The one lens I used is very expensive. The last time cost me 650 bucks because it is high tech to give me the best vision possibly. The good news is I can claim it on my income tax

It sure was raining heavy today and that's taking the snow away and washing the salt off the roads. More rain tomorrow and Fri.

I'm salary, so I guess I got paid.
Soon after we we got into the building the utility company said there wouldn't be any power until 3:30 in the afternoon, and since there was nothing I could do (I asked to help wherever I could!), they told me I may was well go home.
Which was another one hour drive in slow, semi-crawling traffic....
I got the call that the power came back on around noon, so now I'm playing catch-up from home.
Not gonna miss this **** if my retirement plans actually work-out.
