Home from work and look what I get to work on this week.
Yea color should be no problem on that one.Damn! Even though it's a Chevy, as a JD owner, I like it!
(Hehehe...) Don't have to worry too much about color matching that one, Fred, as you can find JD Green and JD Yellow damn near anywhere!
ALL weather liars are the same. Like politicians, how do you know that they are lying? They’re lips are moving.Felt good enough to drive around Oshawa today. Wife had a blood test and a mammogram at the hospital. Then off to Wallyworld but I stayed in the car in the sun with the sunroof open. Felt good let me tell ya and I was tired.
Believe it or not we're supposed to get some snow starting this evening.
I'd like to kill that furry little Bastard. Spring is just around the corner he said.
I've had several of the MN-12 platform Thunderbirds now, at least 6 I think. They're actually a very good handling car with the independent rear suspension, but definitely underpowered with the standard 3.8 V6. The 4.6 V8 makes it a pretty decent performer that can still be economical on the highway, would love to see a manual transmission option with the V8. I drove this Super Coupe the day my mother bought it, and Saturday was the second time. Still have to get comfortable with it, but it pulls pretty well once you get into the boost about 10 psi or so. Looking forward to putting some miles on it, she only added about 7k miles in the 10 years she had it.Nice! I've always liked the looks of the aero-"Underbirds" (Alan Kulwicki reference), and in the back of my mind I've always thought, "Maybe someday..."
In '91 or so the manager of the machine shop at the NAPA I worked at (Tim) had a Turbo Coupe that his wife totalled (she was ok, thankfully). Just so happens his brother, Tori, had a 4 cylinder Ranger with a tired motor, and so the two of them got together and plunked that 2.3L turbo engine out of the 'bird and put it into Tori's Ranger....
Good times!
I've never driven a Super Coupe, but if it's anything like the old Turbo Coupe, I'll admit to being a little bit envious of you!
Couple taps with a ball-peen and a handful of tiger hair???Home from work and look what I get to work on this week.

I have patch panels so should be easy. I hope anyway.Couple taps with a ball-peen and a handful of tiger hair???
The older I get the more I think we over fix this stuff. The truck probably never sees bad weather. IDK, maybe I'm turning into a hack repairer or maybe I'm a seasoned veteran. Fill it and burn it in, Keep it small. Nobody will notice a little miss-match down low.I have patch panels so should be easy. I hope anyway.
It looks like it's been worked on more than once. It looks like some bridging onto the fender. A REAL fix aint gonna be cheap.Home from work and look what I get to work on this week.

Both left and right sides to fix. I'm hoping to be done working in the body shop by mid-May this year. I'm tired of it Charlie. It looks like it's been worked on more than once. It looks like some bridging onto the fender. A REAL fix aint gonna be cheap.
I understand. I'm gonna do it till I can't. I know too many people who hung up their hats and withered away. Gotta keep on keeping on. I know you will not lay down. You will keep going in some fashion. It would be cool to find something different to keep us stimulated. Both left and right sides to fix. I won't give up but just don't like working on new cars and will do work at home on stuff. I like and your idea of farmers market sounds good.I understand. I'm gonna do it till I can't. I have some ideas. Maybe some craft style stuff at the farmers market. I enjoy creative products.

My idea exactly, my box joint boxes, kids wooden toys, appliance repair, maybe the odd lawnmower. Now I’m going to teach myself how to cooper a wood barrel. Maybe I can sell a few of those. My local economy is fostered by tourism . I'm trying to come up with a gimmick towards that. A rough cut bear out of cotton wood for carving comes to mind.I see a good market for barrels for aging whiskey. right up your alley.
Ya chain saw carving sells around here. If you’re thinking mallet and chisels I can tell you that you will become an expert chisel hone. Myself I couldn’t carve a stick man. One of my friends uses live edge wood slabs, live edges together and pours epoxy. Different colours adds some stones polishes them and calls them river tables awesome as a coffee tableMy local economy is fostered by tourism . I'm trying to come up with a gimmick towards that. No chizeling. I'll leave that to the buyer. Just ruff cut the bear to entice them to buy it.Ya chain saw carving sells around here. Those river tables are pretty nice, he makes tubular steel legs for them. Charges a good buck but sells them. There’s thousands of ideas out there l mean if someone can sell a pet rock it can’t be that hard. I’m in it for something to keepNo chizeling. I'll leave that to the buyer.
