The FIL has been in the hospital for 3 weeks now. Don’t think he’s going home, cataracts so bad he can’t see. He’s 93, so off to a personal care home it is. Bought he a new radio yesterday, he made a comment that made think. He said what was is again. Referring to when he was a kid they used to all sit around an listen to the radio using batteries no power to farm till 1950. Wow
i actually yearn for the old days, when we all used to sit around our black and white 12' tv waiting for the wonderful world of disney to come on on sunday at 6:00pm

Yup me to. It was the only time we got to watch TV and eat supper. TV tables in living room. Mom would make something special like burgers and fries. Fun times

i remember watching " the computer who wore tennis shoes" starring a young Kurt Russell. he would put that super juice in his old jalopy and had to smash his feet thru the floor board to stop his car or hold it in place fred flintstone style i think

We always watched the Ed Sullivan Show.
Saw the Stones on there and both mom and dad commented on their hair.
And the Beetles too.
Don't forget the test screen after 11 pm.
Been iffy all day and quite windy as well.
Have a great evening

They’d never get away with the screen test I remember with the indigenous head and gear. Same as the high beam indicator on my 61 Pontiac

I would stay at Grandma and Grandpa's house for a week during summer vacation (grade school) and I could stay up as late as I wanted. Sometimes Grandma would sit up at watch a movie with me. Other times while watching, the test pattern, or lack or noise would wake me up. Didn't they play the Star Spangled banner before the test pattern went on?

Yes they played it and around here it was an Indian head with head dress on for the test pattern
. I remember dad falling asleep in the chair and after the news if I stayed up I could sneak and watch Benny Hill

I'm stuck doing one of the "all over" jobs. Masking takes forever.
Thought about mowing yesterday. Had a small blizzard today. Lol.

Holy crap was it cold yesterday and very windy which added to the problem.
So went to the surgeon yesterday and I'll be on the table next Friday morning.
That's really great so I'll be all set for the car shows in a couple of weeks.
He said drop your pants and then said I can see the problem right now haha.
Going to try and get the Cuda out today as it will be nice all day.
Tues I have my pre-op at 7:30 am and then my car goes in to have the rear end rebuilt.
Should be ready on Wednesday. This guy insists that I drive the car into the shop and up on the hoist and when it's done I drive it out. I like that.
Have a great day
