Morning guys.
Yesterday morning was cool and windy and then in the late morning the rain started and that was the rest of the day.
Wife and I had the heat on but it wasn't getting warm. Found there wasn't any air coming through the ducts and looks like the belt on the blower has broken. Our furnace guy is coming at 9 this morning to fix it. At least we have an electric fireplace in the living room.
Glad it happened now instead of a couple of months ago.
May be time for a new furnace, it was installed in 96, who knows but our furnace guy is as honest as the day is long.
My neighbour was sitting in his garage and suddenly he had two visitors.
They usually land in the pool next door and have for many years. He must have been listening to his wife's directions haha.

Good morning and hope a good Friday for ya all.
Been gorgeous weather around here. Been living on a 12 foot ladder painting some rooms in my house. Should have farmed it out. Oh well, I think I'm done with the ladders. I'll be living on the end of an extension pole and a roller for a couple more days. Have fun you all.
I get more paint on me then the house.

I would love to find an old school dinner like that in the aluminum. I think they were better than the modern day microwave crap.

Morning guys.
Yesterday was absolutely gorgeous.
Took the Cuda out for a nice drive, it was lovely.
This morning is raining of course being the weekend.
My one grandson will be in a fishing derby today.
Today is supposed to be sunny this afternoon.
He was in an ice bucket challenge yesterday for some children's home.
Makes you proud when I hear things like that.
So my furnace guy came in yesterday and he checked everything and said the circuit board is fried. The furnace was installed back in 1996 so not going to put good money after bad so we'll be having a new furnace installed probably on Wednesday. 4000 he figured but bet you the new one won't last as long as the old one did.
Now I'm looking at getting new hearing aids. They are 8-9 years old and the one is acting up. It'll go dead so I have to open the battery door then close it then it works again.
So what with the rear end rebuild, the furnace and hearing aids it's been an expensive week.
My son was driving home last week and saw an older guy laying on his driveway and his walker was upset on the driveway. My son stopped and helped him up and checked him out.
He was ok but had lost his balance. My son and daughter are great kids and are both willing to help anyone. So proud of them.

they make them up at the restaurant for take home. used to be $10, I'm sure they are a bit more now. Wife bought me three different ones last time she was there. Oh, it's called Lazy Dog. they allow your dog in there, I believe on a leash. If you come down this way, Oakbrook has one and so does Naperville. bring a big cooler!
Well today is the day to take the old truck and Scamp for a drive and a bath.

They have caught some nice ones but hoping to get bigger.

A small plane took off from the Island Airport yesterday which is on the bay of Toronto
It belonged to a doctor and he was heading north to see a patient.
Not long after takeoff the engine quit and headed for the lake.
Luckily the Dr pulled the parachute on the back of the plane and floated back down into the lake. Luckily the Dr wasn't hurt.
