lol...Not me. They are not "the hip" of course, but they are multi talented musicians. I saw them at least 4 or 5 times.
Someone has to like them. I was surprised the Q has started playing them again. I always change stations same as when Springstein and kiss start playing

I'm awake....

kiss yes...but....springsteen too?...say it isnt so man!
It is so true. And Meatloaf as well. Not only the meal but the band also.
On a good note AC/DC are coming to Toronto as one of their stops. I'd love to go to that one.
They're the reason I wear hearing aids now lol
Anyway, morning guys. I looked outside at 5 am and it has rained overnight but today will be nice.
The car will definitely be going away today. I was going to do it the other day but the weather was too iffy to be out on the road to get gas.
The weather Liar is saying possible snow on Sunday. I don't think it will be a lot though, but I've been wrong more than once.
That was good racing on NHRA last night. Brittany Force once again broke a speed record for that track.
One more race day and she's leaving the seat to start a family. She'll be missed!
I think Austin Prock has clinched the Funny Car division.
One thing I don't agree with is when they call them World Champion.
Definitely the American Champion but not the world. They don't race at Santa Pod in the U.K or Australia etc unless it's an exhibition event which isn't very often.
End of rant haha.
Have a great day fellas

G'Day mate. I have cousin's that live in Oz and NZ as well. I'd love to go and visit them.
The one lives on The Gold Coast in Burley Waters.
Maybe one of these days but a long haul from Canada and not getting any younger.
Have a great day
Fair dinkum

Haha, yea its a fair old flight. I do it at least once a year as family in Toronto, New York and New Jersey. Usually stock up on parts when overseas then post them back to my self to get better postage deals. Thats being the killer of my build so far lol

I agree..World Champion is over used in my opinion. AC/DC...yes, , but watching Angus strut doesnt do it for me like it used to. Rush...well,bringing another drummer in ( although she has mucho creds) may not have the same kick as well. Led Zep stopped after Bonam, Rush?...hmmm. I have ( and still do, have the opportunity to talk to "gary's ( geddy) cousin from time to time. She ( Tobi Brandt) was our SALES REP for our childrens education insurance fund, and she told me, Geddy and Alex are still hungry to perform and were afraid of the backlash of the up coming tour anouncement. I met with " The professor" many many years ago in his downtown condo..( thats a story) and he was such a humble and gracious host. "Time (DOES NOT) stand still" as his lyrics say. He is sadly missed in my eyes

Yes Hollywierd and musicians can have their opinion but should not push it onstage without alienating at least 1/2 of the people. He has no airtime on any of the stations in Detroit and Toledo
Agreed....Gordon Downing of the " the hip" used to do that all the time. saw them about 5 times and it gets old real fast. Play your music and keep your persaonal and political opiniions to yourself. I still want to see the movie based on his life. I believe it is on Netflex. Music at the time shaped my life, and Bruce ( with Clarence and Max )hit hard for me. Hollywood is finally being exposed for their demonic and self indulgent behaviour.

Took my wife's '08 RX350 into the dealership this morning for some work, and they gave me a 2025 RX as a loaner. Nice car. Quiet, smooth, responsive, handles well....but completely soul-less, and with a face only a mother could love, as the saying goes! Electronic everything, and has an annoying (in my opinion) heads-up display that my eyes can't focus on very well.

Her (my wife's) car is really clean, but it has 155k miles on, and we'd like to get to 200k before we replace it. If this '25 loaner is any indication of what we'll be looking at in a few years...PASS!

Image swiped from the interwebs: NOPE!

I've been looking for a replacement for my wife's car (2002 Taurus wagon) for a while now. The car has 150k miles on it and still runs excellent, I would drive it anywhere, but the rocker panels have rusted out badly. She really likes it and it is great for hauling our 3 dogs around, plus it can carry a lot of stuff! Unfortunately Ford stopped making them around 2005 or 2006, and they were not sold in big numbers so it is very difficult to find another one that is not already rusted out and/or high mileage.
I don't have the budget for anything new, plus she HATES pretty much everything that is newer, so it is not easy to replace.
I was considering buying another Expedition, but the size of them is a little intimidating for her, so now I am looking at Escapes. So far they all have one thing in common, rust around the rear wheel openings. :BangHead:
I have found one about 3 hours away that appears to be in very good shape, no rust issues that I can see, but I can't go see it until at least Saturday.

I know that tune, Randy! My wife loves her old RX, and she hates the new ones with the center console. The old ones looked like this (interwebs pic):

But the new ones have a center console that makes her fell "cramped and confined":

She put almost a quarter million miles on her original RX350 (2004 or so?) before I met her, and she liked it so much that I flew out to Washington, DC about 10 years ago to buy the one I just dropped-off today (same color, same interior, same wheels....everything). Don't know what we're going to do in a few years, but we may be in the market for a good, clean 2009 car, as that's the last year they made the "open" interior that she likes.

Good luck with your search!

This is the second wagon that we've had, the previous one was a 96 Mercury Sable, it had over 160k miles, still ran perfectly, but the transmission was starting to do odd things and I was not interested in spending $2k on a rebuild. We bought this wagon from the original owner, who had factory ordered it, got all of the documentation from day 1 including the window sticker. It had around 70k miles when I got it in 2018 and it has been extremely reliable. I replaced the front windshield and had the side and rear windows tinted the first week, front rotors and pads, sway bar links and put 4 new tires on about 4 months later, did plugs and wires, belts and thermostat at 100k miles, and 2 coil packs since then. Outside of that, nothing but regular oil changes and a new battery 2 years ago. Still has ice cold a/c, excellent heat, etc. I have considered getting the rocker panels replaced, but I don't know if its worth the cost. Last time I had them done on her 92 Thunderbird was 20 years ago and it cost me over $2k.
