Morning guys. Just above freezing right now so not bad.
Have to be out at 7:50... Got a dr appointment and then go for bloodwork.
Well the tree is up and decorated and a few other things done as well.
Our new neighbours brought over a Poinsettia for us. Right by the fireplace.
They are great neighbours. As a matter of fact this whole neighbourhood is great. Everyone is there to help each other when needed
Going to have lots of rain Thurs and Fri so the weather liar says.
That'll get rid of some of this white crap.
Have a great day

Our family dynamic has changed over the years. Most of the celebrations are at the kids house's. We have a small 2’ tree that goes back in the box decorations and all. Time to sit back and enjoy instead of working for others to enjoy. The wife still bakes, I still help the kids decorate, but it’s more of a want to, not a have to. Make it a good one guys Glad you made it home safe Fred to be able to enjoy this next round of blowing snow, icy roads and freezing temperatures. How could you celebrate Christmas with out those things

Snow has pretty much all disappeared again as the weather here has been very mild, highs in the 50s for the last several days. Today's forecast is a bit concerning, 41* now, but the temperature is expected to drop through the day to mid 20s, but the real issue is rain changing to possible snow later, and winds gusting to 80 mph. No highway travel under those conditions for me. My lawn is still green at the moment but it could be white by next week.

Yeah, we have the same sort of forecast for the rest of the day and tomorrow. Falling temps, rain, snow….and ice. Thankfully without the wind though.

Felt like absolute **** at the office this morning and came back home a little after 8:00. 31 degrees out at the time, and of course the roads were slippery. NOT going to miss this evenings rush hour commute!

Not very often it rains here in mid December, but I caught this rainbow about 9:15 this morning, just before the rain started. Wind currently is gusting to only 40 mph.View attachment 1716490173
That is odd. Was 40 above here from the weather report yesterday and never seen it that warm this time of year.
Not a bad winter so far here.

Went to the skin specialist for my yearly checkup. Burned off a couple of keratosis.
Have to go back in feb to cut a mole off my face and send for analysis.
Then went straight to the blood clinic and then the car wash.
Supposed to rain starting tonight.
Happy Hump Day

Still trying to settle back down after a long 2 weeks of being gone from home and think there will be no hump in my day.
Think I'll mix me a drink and watch an old movie and go to bed early.

Pouring myself a a Gibbons rare as we speak. It was payment for borrowing my scaffolding. That 17 ends of steel scaffolding has made me a lot of whiskey over the years.

Temperature dropped 30 degrees from noon to 4 pm, roads are slick as snot here too, had near whiteout conditions early this afternoon in town. Snow still coming down but not as bad as earlier, highways are a mess, some of the smaller towns north of here are without power. Heading for home in about 5 minutes, car is running already.
Took this before I left for work today.
