The Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?
I hadn't heard.
Is he leaving over that?
I'm lost.
But seriously,
We will miss good people.
You know I just had a thought. I won’t tell you the thread. That's not important.
The important point is that people here came through when it APPEARED someone might not honest in their dealings with “us”.
People here offered support.
As they say, if you can find a better site, join it.

Seems funny to me that you guys are at it again, and poor ol 74 wont even be around to prove himself right

To me. This is the best site around. That other moparts website
has alot more people like that. I only go there lately to check
on parts for sale. The general form gets out of hand.
The people here are the best. Always have good info and good
stories to tell. Stick around. Where else can you talk with guys
that are into A bodies more than here.
A BODIES RULE.

Can't we all just get along? Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor??? When the going gets tough--the tough get going! Right? Who's with me??

Read your history, Dec 7th, 1941. It was the Japanese that bombed Pearl Harbor. Remember FDR's speech about "the day that will live in infamy"???? Sheeeess...read a history book or watch a WWII movie! (strapping down my helmet and heading for a bunker).....:) :angel9:

That was a quote from a John Belushi movie. I can't remember which one off the top of my head. :)

You guys are priceless!!:) I knew someone would'nt get that joke. Watch the movie Animal House & you'll get it. I'm a huge WWII buff. Sheeeess:rock:

After my joining several of the other mopar sites, I have pretty much found this to be the best for me. On Moparts your either "in" or your pretty much ignored. On style which I'm a life member, I met some good people there, BK is a bit intense, ETC. But here I have found good people, good info, and I can count on a response. To me best all around site. I've had a chance to meet a few members, Valientmike, Great guy and fellow brother firefighter from NYFD. Wilhutt and a few other good members. All I can say is don't let a bad experience, end your fellowship hear. Give FABO members another chance.

Hey I love Animal House it's one of my favorites. I've always wondered though why, when Belushi was leaning forward on the top of that ladder, watching that young thing undress, he's suddenly pushed backwards and lands on his back. Hum I wonder.

SGBarracuda is a big inch stroker so maybe he should start the woody pole!:???: Wow this is getting silly:la::la:

I think we are getting away from the original subject of this thread. What was the original subject anyway? I remember now some members acting like children in the sandbox. They better not be talking about me or I'll take my Demon elsewhere.

WOW 43 replies already. That's more replies than I have received on any other thread I have asked for technical advice on yet, combined!!!

And you have proven my point well. In fact the responses have high lighted part of my issue:

It seems like a lot of threads I look at for information become a conversation that's totally off subject, or someone answering by trying to sell something, or gives a reply that has nothing to do with the original subject, and then it goes back and forth and back and forth about that for awhile........ Say a new (or regular) member is looking for some technical answers and sees a thread for their question. They open the thread hoping for some direction and probably find a few helpful comments, and then all of a sudden it turns into a conversation that is totally irrelevant, and a lot of times perverse.

It really detracts from a thread that is supposed to be answering someones question to read a conversation or someone trying to make a buck.

If you want to have a conversation go to the chat line, or PM each other. If you want to sell something use the For Sale boards.

It's like some people think every thread is a chat line, talking about what ever they want, on someone elses thread looking for information.

It hasn't always been this way, but over the past several months it has really gotten out of hand. Go back and read some of the older theads, say in 2006, and you will see what I mean. Threads were for information and helpful.

Anyhow, enough ranting. Judging by some PM's that I receieved I am not the only one that feels the way I do. Thank you to those members.

I am not going anywhere. I love Mopars, I really like a lot of the people on this great site, and I love looking at others photos and how their projects are progressing. Maybe a few of you will think a little before you post on a thread and stick to the subject, but probably not.

Anyhow, HAVE A BEAUTIFUL DAY !!!!

Glad your sticking around 19duster74.
I know where you are coming from and I have been one of the culprits in the past as far as going off topic. Maybe not in one of your threads, but I know I have done it.

I say stick around bro! There's lots of good people, and information here. I have received help, and jump in where I think I can help. I'm not a mechanic, so I need help/advice from time to time.

There's no such thing as a perfect forum, I used to own a PC forum with 60,000 members.

Animal House

Aha! Now I remember! Toga!, Toga!, Toga!, Toga! LOL!

19Duster74: Oh I'm sorry, I didn't mean to ruin your thread. Maybe you should contact Adam and become a moderator and tell him how to run his website. Sheesh. If you were a member of any of the 4x4 forums I frequent you would have been flamed so bad you and your vehicle would be on fire. Those people are merciless.

I truly suggest that you develop your own forum so you can run it your way "As there shall be no talking in class! If any perversity shall utter from said pie hole ye shall wash your mouth out with soap and be drawn and quartered!!!" Get over yourself ya big freakin' crybaby. :crybaby:
