contributed to you hurt feelings, I have a silly streak in me and I am not an updated tec.
I have found allot of help here in the past "Old shrinks" That opened my eyes to reality and helped me with more then just car help.
I have put this great site through allot, and feel bad for the wasted space
on my problems getting myself a car to be able to get back into
I am a better man know!! I am just disappointed with the out come of my
63 I could not save and enjoy going to some car shows and have something to do but BBQing, Talking about my dogs ,or just posting jokes.
But so far they have put up with me.

Occasionally I do need some technical information which I've been pretty successful in finding by doing a search. I've met some people that come across as know it all type in writing and when meeting in person were very nice, humble people.

WOW 43 replies already. That's more replies than I have received on any other thread I have asked for technical advice on yet, combined!!!

And you have proven my point well. In fact the responses have high lighted part of my issue:

It seems like a lot of threads I look at for information become a conversation that's totally off subject, or someone answering by trying to sell something, or gives a reply that has nothing to do with the original subject, and then it goes back and forth and back and forth about that for awhile........ Say a new (or regular) member is looking for some technical answers and sees a thread for their question. They open the thread hoping for some direction and probably find a few helpful comments, and then all of a sudden it turns into a conversation that is totally irrelevant, and a lot of times perverse.

It really detracts from a thread that is supposed to be answering someones question to read a conversation or someone trying to make a buck.

If you want to have a conversation go to the chat line, or PM each other. If you want to sell something use the For Sale boards.

It's like some people think every thread is a chat line, talking about what ever they want, on someone elses thread looking for information.

It hasn't always been this way, but over the past several months it has really gotten out of hand. Go back and read some of the older theads, say in 2006, and you will see what I mean. Threads were for information and helpful.

Anyhow, enough ranting. Judging by some PM's that I receieved I am not the only one that feels the way I do. Thank you to those members.

I am not going anywhere. I love Mopars, I really like a lot of the people on this great site, and I love looking at others photos and how their projects are progressing. Maybe a few of you will think a little before you post on a thread and stick to the subject, but probably not.

Anyhow, HAVE A BEAUTIFUL DAY !!!!

Technical questions are harder to respond to. That probably has something to do with the percentage. Just a guess.

You seem to have had experiences here that I have not had.

Points from your original post:
I have not been “talked down to.”
I have not been replied to with “negative” comments.
I have not been “treated with disrespect”.
And I have not encountered any “A holes”.
(Your words, not mine. Just incase you think I am being “perverse”?)

Let’s remember too, that people do have “opinions”.
And many times they are just expressing that opinion.
It’s an outlet.
But I have also gotten good factual information here.

I won’t deny that threads get off topic.
It happens. One must learn how to eat fish. (Spit out the bones)
But I honestly can’t see where anyone in this thread has been off subject.
Humor is injected some times to break tension.
And to make a point.
What was your point of this thread again?

Alright, alright, enough. We have busted his, (cover your eyes), balls enough. Well, now we have. He has a point and so do all of you,us. We do seem to get off topic a bit from time to time. I think though that is what makes FABO what it is. NOTE: this is my opinion! We help each other and like a family we joke and get side tracked by a response we hear that sparks another question or thought. We chime in like we would if we were having a beer sitting across a table from each other.
19duster74 there are technical forums out there, but there just not fun. We get the job done and have fun doing it.
