That is the only intake I use in place of the original on a Iron head motor for the street. Getting Real hard to come by any more. I have one and I will never sell it.

WHAT I mean is the center is not milled out a lot of people do that to this intake for what ever reason...it is used but real nide
Yea, the milled center divider helps with larger cams not normally seen with a dual plane intake. It opens up the plenum and shortens the runners for a higher rpm abilty.
This mod is a "Legal Cheat" move for classes stating a dual plane must be used. It is not really needed for the street. An intake change would be a better move.
I have a modded LD340 w/ the plenum milled and the carb pad opened up for a TQ. It provides a look not equal to the performance it suggests. Like a well designed mouse trap, it catches mice and rats alike of guard.
But the mod should not be done to this intake as the intake is an excellent part as is.
Anyone thinking of modding the intake is better off with a different intake. The LD340 wi perform very well as is on its own.
