i have to replace both quarters on a 68 dart. the lead filled areas at the roof line and rocker panel. do i use a torch and melt it out or do i use agrinder to grind it out

On my Valiant, I used a propane torch to melt the lead, then dobbed it out with a rag.Watch those lead fumes...they can be deadly in quantities.

Propane and a wire brush work well for that also.

Try not to concentrate too much heat in any one spot for too long.

melt ou what you can, if theres any left and you dont want to use a rag, and old braided ground strap can be used to wick it out.

Torch and steel wool would probably work nifty. As above, watch the amount of time of heat on the panel.
