I have a 71 big block duster with a 727 trans with a reverse manual valve body. Every time i let my car sit more than day the fluid drains back out of the converter and overflows through the speedo cable or whichever seals are the lowest. I didnt know if something was missing in the valve body like a check ball. does anyone have any ideas?

Are you surev it is not coming from the pan , my dart leaks from the pan only when it cools off , when it is warm does not leak changed gasket twice and also changed pan , still does it
..........It could b leaking from the shift shaft seal.............kim....

I know I'm right....
trans-go sells a "no yo-yo" spool valve thats supposed to stop convertor fluid drainback but I dont know if its compatible with your Reverse valve body. If it drains at rest, the leak is higher than the fluid level at idle or P or wherever your supposed to check it at. Possible a selector shaft seal or filler O-ring. Speedo gear has a few O-rings, not just the obvious one.
