Here's my hardtop. 408,904,8.75,3.55's.
On slicks it's gone 11.90's. My 65 vert is going to be waaay quicker.

Nostalgia drag build in progress. Just got running:thumbsup:
273 commando block notched for larger valves,.494 lift-voodoo cam,
ported heads with 1.88/1.60 valves, J&R fenderwell headers,offy intake and pertronix ignition.
A833 4 speed with Lakewood bell housing.
8 3/4 with 3.23 sure grip.

first pic is when i got it last year mostly all original /6 auto. Second is current with 15 inch wheels and front disc conversion. Next is 8 3/4, 340 and 4 speed with the matching hurst wheels on rear.

Post em up guys. Great to see a renewed interest in 65's. They are cool cars and although very close to 64's and 66's they have a smooth design. They're just different. My first car back in 71 was a white 65 post with red interior. It had a HP273 and a 3 speed on the tree. I didn't find out until a few years ago that there were just a handfull of that combo built. Who knew. Somewhere in the house I have a Polaroid Swinger photo of it. I hope to find that pic someday.
 
Don't forget about the wagons! 273 automatic car. Just got her running and driving after 15+ years on non-op.

I love this car. I've had a number of A Bodies, but this is the best. I had a 72 Duster 340/4 speed that was fun, but this car gets way more attention every where I take it. It has a 2000 5.9 EFI / 904. Sweet setup.
