I can't vouch for the accuracy of any of this; Those are just the numbers in the book.

All are sedans, no hadrtop numbers given... and all are the lightest /6 models; no V8 weights given.

Remember... these are SHIPPING weights, and probably don't include the weight of any fluids. I am not sure about that, either.

Wow Bill. Thanks. I bet they are pretty close!

I bet they are to SS, I drove my 66 on three scales and with gas, small tool kit and cooler 2.70??. Two seed co. scales and one sanitation scale and they was with in 15lbs of each other.

isn't member moto-- guzzi adding weight to his toad?

sounds about right for a 64 Valiant..... 2540. Mine weighed in at about 2675 with my fat *** driving.... Either way with enough power they are lite and will scoot....

seems very light to me...

cuz i know mark has more than 300lbs out of his car from stock...

My '64 Valiant V-100 2-door sedan with a cast-iron 4-speed and an 8.75" rear end weighed 3,105 on three different scales (without me in it.)

I can't imagine what it would have taken to get it down to what they (NHRA) say the shipping weight was (2,740.)

Factory shipping weights have ALWAYS been "light."

But, that's what NHRA goes by when they assign classes to Stockers and Super Stockers.

I didn't weigh those cars; I just reported the numbers from the book (Standard Cataolg of American Cars 1946-1964.)

Believe what you want to believe. I think they're light, too.:?
