lights in dash????

This is on my recently restored 72 demon 340,when I turn the dash lites on the oil lite as well as the brake lite come on dimmly. This also happens when I turn the key on.They stay on all the time. I am sure it is a ground problem but am at a loss as where to look. any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks Darryl

This only happens when I use the lite switch not the key and I can make them dim by turning the lite switch. Thanks, Darryl

I think the bulbs are in the wrong holes

We just installed dash in a 69 Charger today, I kept trying to put the hi beam bulb in the wrong place. Took a diagram to figure the bulb placement out.

The instrument panel will not work properly while dangling from the harness connectors. Current will seek a ground through other circuits.
A dedicated ground wire is recommended.
