Linkage For 727

hey guys i just bought a used 727 tranny but it didnt come with the linkage. im wondering if i can use my linkage from my 904 on the 727?

its a colom shift if that also helps..

Yeah. but you're gonna have to shorten the driveshaft and change the front yoke. Shift linkage and kickdown linkage both attach in the same place though. Hope this helps.

yeah getting the drive shaft ready for that. just wanted to know if i can use the linkage from the 904 for the 727.

the kickdown linkage does change between 2 brl and 4 brl carbs be it 904 or 727. Good luck

also with the drive shaft i found one from a scamp that measures 48' center to center from the joint caps. will this fit my duster and will it fit my 8 1/4 rear end? im still looking for a 8 3/4 rear so i was hoping i could manage with the 8 1/4 for now.

yup 48 inches is correct length. Once upon a time we could buy U joints for the rear that had 2 different sized caps on them. Dunno if you'll need such or if those are still available.

its the same for 904 or 727 at the trans end but different for 2 brl and 4 brl at carb end.
