Yesterday I posted a need for help, and many responded with great tips and a big thanks to AJ/FormS for some great, detailed info.
I got everything back together, and even rebuilt my shift box to convert from the slip in bayonet style to the bolt on for my pistol grip.. Per usual, I'm stuck again though...the shift rods.
I've looked at a ton of pix, but have seen different set ups which is confusing me.
I can't figure out my reverse rod.. Doesn't want to line up on both ends no matter how I try.

None of the rods look correct to me, for that shifter, or mounting plate. Looks like a mish mosh of mixed parts. The reverse rod needs to go under the trans cross member. You converted a bayonet to a bolt on? Okay, I will stay out of this.

Rods came directly from Brewers.. as did the parts for bolt on conversation.. Yeah, the reverse rod doesn't seem right to me.

Post a pic of the rods you are using. I assume you got the bent ones like in the pic from brewers below.

Have to make sure the shifter tabs are in the correct direction on the shift forks from the gear box. That the hurst shifter has the “zero” pin in it to line up the arms.

I'm thinking they sent you the wrong rods.

Look at the photos in post 3

And on their website

4 Speed Linkage Pictures Please.....
I was using the old, wrong reverse rod...lol. I found the one Dan sent me.. Got it all hooked up and can go through the gears...but not sure if it's that simple or if there's adjustments needed..

As for adjustments.

As noted there should be a pin hole to align every link on the shifter to neutral and with every link on the trans in neutral the links should be lengthened or shorted till they fall into the lever holes.

I stuck a punch in the alignment hole...wasn't the exact, correct size, but should be close...
Another thing that I've seen differently is how the rod goes into the lever on the trans...front facing or through the back....Not sure if it matters, but I have seen it both ways..

Is it me, or the picture angle? Your shifter mechanism looks like it is tilted forward on the mount pad. Just asking.
