For those that have locking gas caps.
Which locking gas cap do you have? List part # and car.

I tried an 11572 stant and it's too loose for 1970 Dart.
I took it back of course.

What does the original cap look like?

If it's pretty flat with a simple pair of lock tabs and no pressure vacuum valves in the cap, it's "early," no evap emissions

you have the evap emissions package.

70 came both ways --if it's a CA car it probably has it.

It has the 4 vent tubes coming off the gas tank that go up into the "extra trunk tube". Then one vent tube goes to the valve cover breather. No charcoal canister. I'm seeing some locking gas caps that have thicker gaskets. It might take up the clearance. I may try one of those. I don't understand what the difference is on the gas caps. Mine has a simple one way suction valve. Like what happens if you use the wrong cap?
