I ran into a buddy of mine I used to work with at our ATI Steel retirement party. I never knew to he knew the previous owner on the 1969 Dart I bought as a roller back in the 1970’s for 1600.00. It was my first race only car and the first big block (440) I ever built. I jumped from running 11’s in my Duster to low 10’s. I didn’t like the orange and yellow paint so I did some horsetrading for a paint job. Michael had a couple of pictures from before I owned it and sent them to me. Hard to believe this was over 40 years ago and it’s nice to relive those memories

Thanks for sharing your memories and pictures with us! I like the car as an all orange(or Hemi orange). That was the color of my 69 Dart.
I also like looking in the background to see the other vehicles:brown Dodge van(?) looks like it has 68 marker lights. And the Chevy crew cab, same silver as my two were.

That was my 1976 dodge van I towed with. I pulled the 318 and built a very nice 360 for it

A old photo I have from 1976. You may remember this car at Keystone Raceway.

The bottom picture in the first post was of my father and I at Norwalk back when it was just rock and gravel pits. My father had almost zero interest in cars or racing but never judged me bad for my love of the sport. I sure miss him.

Nice tow/camping vehicle. That would be great for a quick snooze.
Love the wheels on the 65,the Spyders would look great on the back of my Hornet.

The 68 Dart was a Herb McCandless stroker 440 (500 inches) -- The 65 Coronet was a built 440 -- The 73 Dart Sport was a 426 Hemi. -- Plus others. - I don't want to bore You Guys, with pictures. -- I didn't know enough to keep them.
