here is a 05 elantra i picked up for 500.00 it was wrecked in the front, rear and passenger side completly. 60k miles one owner, and she did not report it to insurance.
it is now being driven by my wife, and she loves it. yea, it is not a 60k car, but i thought still worth the fix as it is only a few yaers old.
it needed hood, tires, rims, bumper, headlights, fenders, both passenger side doors, and passenger side rear quarter.
i have 600.00 into paint and all body parts. most came from keystone. i have a little over 25 hrs into it from start to finish
here you go

also, someone stopped over while i was prepping the elantra and wanted for me to do the body work and repaint the car. i gave them a price of 800.00 total including material, and they jumped on it, so i got to paint them both in the same day.. one at a time, outside of course!

man, did i tell you i love my bigger garage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. oh, i saved alot of money on the elantra parts because a 2001 - 06 doors fender and quarter are the same!

I know you do this stuff to make ends meat but I really envy you. I did collision repair for about 8 years before joining the Army and I have a love for it and I can't wait to start on my SS/T. But you do such good work with what you have to work with. Post more pics please. I enjoy all of your threads. More on the Jag too if you don't mind.

P.S. Where in VA are you? I just moved up from NC about 2 weeks ago. I am in Triangle in the Northern part

dusted72, first, i want to thank you for my contiued freedom that you fight so hard for every day risking your own life for a greater cause!.

i am on the south west side. 1 hr from roanoke. 1 hr from va tech, 1 hr from matrinsville international speedway. right in the middle of all.lol i will gladly post more tommorow

Very nice looking work and very resourceful too.

It may surprise some that Hyundai's are tough, used a lot in 'third world' countries under harsh condition, as taxi's etc.

yes, i looked at the reviews before i started, and the only complaint was people thought they should have gotten better feul economy. i am quite happy with 28 mpg!

here is a pic of the elantra in paint. she picked a dark gun metal gey. we got a dark blue metalic. it was a manufacturers error on paint chart, so they replaced with all new paint, but we decided to just leave it, as i cannot get her to stop driving it long enought to get a pic, let alone another paint job. car is horribly dirty and still waiting for the marker lights for the bumper to come in

I pick up cars all the time to buy and resell; my newest purchase is a 2005 sx 2.0 (neon) for $400 with 114,000 Km on it (about 80,000 miles) didn't need much and it works really good
