Nope, it is an original Plymouth Valiant dealership sign. It has been cut down some (see the V?) from its original size a bit, I am going to build a frame for it and hang it in my shop. It was originally a double-sided sign that lit up. 8) There are a couple of chipped edges but I will put a white backing board behind it so that won't show as much when on the wall.
i will post pic,s before i,m asked the seal cabnet was from a old shell gas station i worked at in the early 80. it closed then they tore it down. the seals are from the 60s and 50s still new in the boxs
Cool sign Keith. I too have a thing for old signs. Scored three old dealer signs this summer for free while doing a clean up. "Dodge" "Dodge cars" and "Dodge Trucks" like they used to have on the big sign by the street. Now I have to build frames for them and back light them for display.
That is one cool sign! On another note, I'm glad to see that I am not the only one with bikes hanging over my classic! I have nightmares of those falling through my windshield some day...... ](*,)
