A few years back I was also looking for a 3.55 gear set for a 8.25 axle. I actually found the best price and availability thru the Mopar Performance line at our NW regional support dealership in Spokane. Even got a 10 percent racer discount even though I wasn't actively racing at the time.

I have several sets of 8.25-3.55 gears....also have 3.21 and 3.9...

Look for late 96 up Jeep XJ 8.25 rear. It seems 3.55 is a common ratio for automatics.
