I don't have a 68 Barracuda, but I do have a 63 Valiant, and 65, 67 and 69 Barracudas. A body cigarette lighters 63-66 are the same I believe. The lighter in my 67 is located in the dash ash tray and is different. The 69 (and I believe 68) are very similar in design to the 63-66 lighters, but the knobs are smaller in diameter.
Below: On left, the lighter from my 69. Middle, from my 65 Barracuda (and the 63 Valiant is identical). Right, the lighter from my 67.
All three fit into the receptacle at the bottom. I think it it an NOS OEM, but I've had it in a drawer for so long I am no longer sure where it came from, and aftermarket receptacles and OEM are quite similar if not identical.
