[WANTED] Looking for a 73+ V8 K-member

Well, if yur installing a superhot engine, you're gunna want to upgrade your suspension/steering/and brakes, so IDK, if I'd get it repaired.
I mean 20 years ago I would, cuz 20 years ago there were competent people to do that work. It ain't rocket science to stick that back in the hole and secure it, but it has to be straight. and ALL the crap that the front end is subject to, goes thru those two tiny pins, so, you really gotta trust your welder..
But if you don't get yours repaired, then grabbing a 50plus year old part from off the internet, you don't know what will come to your door. And even if it looks good from the outside, what will it look like on the inside, and even if it's perfect, if you drive that HotRod like I do mine, you still gotta reinforce it, like the factory 340 Ks were done....... or better.
IMHO, if it ain't bent or twisted, I'd get it fixed, cuz I know a dynomite welder.
Now, here's a tip;
Is your K on the bench yet?

Looking for a V8 k member 73+. The one I have now is messed up where the pivot pin goes in. I'm in north east PA if anyone is willing to ship.
If you're looking at shipping it, consider sending yours to Firm Feel. They welded mine up and put in all the reinforcement parts, as well as fixing blown out LCA tubes. Steer n' Gear might offer something similar, and is closer to you.

@AJ/FormS Yeah, it's out of the car, actually it's one I got off the internet to replace the '70 /6 frame that is in the car now (going from /6 to 340). I already cleaned and media blasted it and did a lot of the welding of the seams before I noticed the pivot hole was tweaked and the metal around it cracked.

You can order the reinforcement parts from from Firm Feel if you're a weldin' type, which it sounds like you are. If the frame is only cracked but the tube isn't broken loose, drill those cracks, weld em up, and go! When they're broken loose, there's a little more fixturing and fixing involved. The kit from Firm Feel has large washers that go over the tube and spread the load out considerably.
