Looking for advice on rear end width and wheel/ tire info for a Bo29 clone

-
my old demon (tubbed) had the "backspace overhang" cragers on it
stock width 8 3/4 A housing
11" slicks. to take the tires off,
2 floor jacks up dangerously high and pull the rear lower shackle bolts and lower shock bolts

you are not wrong about it getting old fast
(we had to change between street tires and slicks at the track)
Yea, being I road race, I change wheels a ton (on the ground).. Not sure if its gotten old or I have.... both

While I am not planning on a lot of wheel changes, ease of job is important

I suggest going to recently submitted how-to articles on this website. Look at my photos in 'Tubs & Frame Upgrades'. It's not as difficult as most people think but you must have the tires & wheels first so you get the right image you're looking for (i.e., backspacing). Then you'll know how to plan where the new frame rails will go & how wide the axle housing needs to be. I recommend a four-post hoist or a surface plate because you must support the car so that nothing moves.
The tires & wheels on my '68 Barracuda are 29x15" on 12-inch rims, 3-1/2" backspace.
