Hi, Im new to the site and looking for a clean 4 speed console with Tach for my 69 GTS. Fender tag shows "N85" but console was removed at some point. Id like to pick one up to keep her as original looking as possible. I did see one in rough shape, does anyone re furbish? Does anyone know if they're available as re production?
Thanks, Joe

Good luck in your search... I finally got my 4 speed console for this set up.

it would probably be easier to buy the separate components: the console, the tach and the tach mount. 4 speed consoles and tachs come up every now and then, but the tach mount is hard to come by, there was a member here who made a couple of them, he may still have some left.

My console is already drilled to accept the tach, so if you would need measurements in the future, let me know.

.I have a decent console body

Thanks for the intel. Let u know

Thanks, Ill need to figure out which way Im going. I got several responses for pieces also. Not sure if wood grain was original in mine or just the metal finish, (which I like better).

you can use a automatic console housing, you just need a templet and a little urethane in the corner and drill a hole (center mounting hole) to mount the side cover. side mounts used standard screws and clips.

Not going to Columbus
You can get plenty of info
To put it together
Im def interested in the Tack, its very clean, Im pretty sure your tops (w/o wood grain) are correct for my application. Can I get back to you after I sort out this thing?
BTW, is'nt there a small ash tray like door behind the shifter area?

Disregard Tach portion, Davescuda has the tach.

1969 consoles had the wood grain tops. This was the first year for that style.
As for a 1969 wood grain "4 speed" console. They are a one year only console. In 1970 and later, the A-body 4 speed cars could not be optioned with a console any more.
