There's a guy in one of the FB groups (either a c-body group or a monaco/polara group) that has a 1965 (either monaco, polara or chrysler) that had a poly 318. He's taken the poly out and trying to install an LA, and I guess it's to be expected that no regular LA motor mounts are going to work, but he says not even his original mounts from the poly will work with his '65 stub and the LA 318. Is this also to be expected?

Is there an outfit thar sells mount brackets for this odd '65 stub?

An LA 318 should bolt right in using the Poly 318 brackets/mounts.
If the FB guy is having issues, it may be that he's trying to mount an LA 360 (you only said "LA" and didn't say which one)- there are subtle (but definitely not insurmountable) differences in the block mounts from an LA 318 that may be confusing the guy.
Be careful what you read on FB- waaay too much BS from idjits who have never turned a wrench before in their life.

It will depend on the year of the block castings involved. If the blocks have 4 engine mount bracket bosses, they should interchange without a problem. If some or both have three, sometimes they're a different three, so tabs have to be added to swap the brackets from block to block.
