looking for a steering coupler for my car the original one has a lot of play
who might have one

You can get a rebuild kit for it that has new shoes and a seal with a new retainer ring. that will fix it up as long as the housing is not worn. I think I got my last one from Year One. They aren't too expensive.

thank you, what is the process of taking apart the coupler from shaft ?, i am a newbie to my car and willing to put sweat into it but do it right.

Alfonso, there is a roll pin in the coupler that has to be removed first. However, what I recommend above all else FIRST, is to buy a factory service manual for your car. They are relatively simple beasts, but there is no substitute for the correct repair procedures straight from the factory service manual. I just recently acquired one for my 63 Dart. It is well used and the cover is worse for wear, but the inside material is in perfect condition. I paid 20 bucks for it. You can also get them on CD, but I am old school. I would rather have print.

No problem alfonso. I am in Jones county. If there is ever anything I can help you with, shoot me a PM. I am a disabled mechanic. Been turnin wrenches since 1974. I have a small two stall shop at my place so if you need somethin, gimmie a shout.

The farthest back Flaming River shows is for a 1968 Dart. I am not certain that would interchange.
