Hey Al,

Does the part come up on partsvoice.com?
I've actually looked at Len Dawson's Deception Pass site and scrolled thru part numbers on his list of about 5K parts number, if you know the number, double check against his inventory.
You can also e-mail Collector's auto supply and Brad's NOS parts and they're pretty good on finding number if you don't have a number to start with.
Years ago when I was restoring my Fury, I went thru the entire Len Dawson list and deleted each line that wasn't for a 1972 Fury. Took forever, but I ended up with a nice Word Document that I call my Fury edit list. I've printed it out, highlighted, made notes on etc. Very time consuming though, but I was recovering from surgery, so had time to kill.

Al, what part are you looking for?
car model, year, etc.

I have gotten pretty good at finding the part number in the Mymopar PDFs

I have a K frame 67 BB A body, only # I see is MK 45 1 on the right side motor mount, Just want to verify it is BB K frame.
And a set of leaf springs with # 2835056 and also by the center bolt is # 712 76 3536. verify what they are also.

I checked the 67 parts book and the one from mymopar doesn't list the K member except for some imperials and chryslers.
You probably saw this ebay listing
1967, 1968, 1969 Mopar, A Body Big Block K-Frame, Dodge Dart, Plymouth Barracuda | eBay

No numbers but may help with identification..

You have the K member, correct? I had to sand a driveshaft down and go over it with a fine toothed comb to find the part number and date but it was there. you might need to thoroughly remove the paint to find it.

are you concerned that the one you have is a home made one? should be able to find grind and reweld indicators like on cut down B, E, Truck 8 3/4 housings, I can spot them a mile away.

Yes I have the k member and it does look like the 67- 9 B / RB K member in the link you sent me.
Thanks .

Some parts have numbers on them that are not the part number. That makes it tougher.
Leaf springs seem to be one of those.
To make things a little more complicated, the leaf spring packs installed on the car have a part number, and the main leafs have their own number just like other parts of the spring pack.

The cheapest way to get the books is download shared pdf scans to a hard drive.
Bishko (sp?) and others sell CD versions and reprints. Generally purchased versions are better quality (not missing pages etc). Do not buy from Faxon if you can help it. My experience was their shop manual reprint was 3rd rate quality - done on copy paper with pages missing which they had to send seperate because they couldn't manage to send me one with it bound in. The only good thing I can say is they were nice about - no arguements.
Another thing to be aware of is that books were revised through the year. Dealers with early editions would get supplements.

When using the parts books there are illustration pages with a three part number.
The first number is like the service manual chapters. for example 23 is the body group number.

Use this number to then look up the part number for the application.
A quick look at the above drawing suggests Leaf 17-12-4 is the bare main leaf. 17-12-6 will be the supporting leaves.
17-11-3 probably is the section with the complete spring packs.

I don't see a 2834... spring in this section or 17-12-4.
One other place to check is the numerical index. Unfortunately it looks like those sections are missing from this scan.
