Lost the Keys!

My buddy lost the keys to the 'cuda. How can I get another key? I pulled the ignition switch and found the numbers "151" stamped on the shoulder. On the many GM cars I worked on, a numeric code corresponded to a particular key that could be duplicated. Is that true with Chryslers?

Take the ignition switch to a locksmith and they will make you a key.

If you have time, key blank, and a file you can make your own. The lock is carefully taken apart by taking the cap off the springs and tumblers keeping all in order. A small scribe is used to mark key blank for tumbler positions. Then estimate first groove in key from tumbler length, install one tumbler set, file that position so it works. Repeat for the rest. I taught myself that on my first car, and little money.

I'll try the locksmith first. I can probably find an older guy that does old cars.

Good reason to get a backup switch with key, but a locksmith will get you outta this jam.

multiple keys... but yes a locksmith can set you up in no time, and make a couple extra's!
