Lower ball joints

Does anyone have the actual wear specifications for lower ball joints for a 1966 Dodge Dart (or Canadian Plymouth Valiant).
I believe it is 0.070 (max) vertical play.
I am fighting with an ignorant mechanic, who does not have a clue about Mopars, to get an inspection completed.

Don't scratch your lower ball joints in public, it's embarrasing to you and the people around you....

When my lowers went out, is was pretty noisy. Like every bump.

When in doubt, throw them out. New are cheap and they're easy to replace.

just make sure you get ones that are machined on both sides. I bought a Chinese made one that they only machined the bolt head recesses and not the side that should mate to the back of the spindle. I "upgraded" to a brand made in Taiwan and it was properly finish machined.
